Removing Bounced Addresses From Your Mailing Lists

It is not uncommon for a delivery to result in a few undeliverable messages that are "bounced" back to the sender. Addresses can bounce because the email address was inputted incorrectly, the mailbox no longer exists, or the mailbox is temporarily unavailable. When this occurs you will get a bounced message notice in your inbox.

If you used e3 Delivery Service to deliver your message, bounced notifications will not show up in your email inbox, but rather will be reported directly in the History tab. If you did not use e3 Delivery Service, you can use the "Scan Incoming Mail" feature, downloads bounce notifications from your mail server and updates your delivery history.

It is a good idea to removed bounced addresses from your mailing list. Repeatedly sending mail to invalid email addresses can increase the chance of your mail being blocked as spam.

To remove bounced addresses from your mailing list:

  1. Go to the History tab and select the delivery history you are interested in.
  2. Click on the "Recipients" section to show the list of recipients.
  3. Click the "Show Bounced Only" button.
  4. Click the "Show Selected in Addresses Tab" button. This will take you to the Addresses tab and select the addresses in your address groups that have bounced.
  5. Click the Delete button.
