Importing addresses from FileMaker

In order to import contacts from FileMaker to Direct Mail, you first need to export your addresses from the FileMaker database to a CSV file. To export addresses from FileMaker, please follow their instructions by clicking here.

Once you have saved the CSV file to your hard drive, switch to Direct Mail.

To import addresses from a CSV file:

  1. Select the group you want to import addresses into.
  2. Choose Addresses > Import...
  3. Click the Import From pop-up menu and choose Text File Records (CSV).
  4. Click Choose... and select the file you want to import addresses from.
  5. Click the "Source file has header row" checkbox.
  6. In the Columns table, choose which fields you want to import.
  7. Click Import.

Direct Mail can automatically rename its custom columns to match the column names in your CSV file: check the "Rename columns to match header row" checkbox.
